For purposes of these policies, B4BUZZ means the operator of this customer feedback and review management service. Where the service is used by a hotel, resort, B&B, villa, homestay or other hospitality business, that property may separately determine how guest information is used for its own operational purposes.
1. Roles
For client-submitted account and property data, the service operator generally acts as the service provider/processor or equivalent contractual service provider for the hospitality client. For information collected directly by the service operator for its own account, billing, security and administration purposes, the operator may determine the purposes and means of processing. The exact legal role depends on the parties, contract and applicable law.
2. Hospitality client responsibilities
Each subscribing property/client is responsible for providing appropriate notices to guests, collecting only information necessary for its purposes, selecting lawful processing grounds, maintaining accurate information, responding to applicable guest requests and ensuring that its instructions to the service are lawful.
3. Data minimisation
The guest rating flow is designed so that customer contact fields are requested only for the negative-rating workflow. For positive ratings, the service can redirect the guest to the relevant external review destination without requiring those fields.
4. Processors and service providers
Hosting, email, payment and other technology providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services, subject to their own contracts and legal obligations.
5. Data requests
Requests concerning a guest’s stay or feedback should normally be directed first to the hospitality property that collected the information. Requests concerning the service operator’s own account records may be sent to the contact below.
6. Security incidents
Where applicable, suspected personal-data incidents will be assessed and handled according to the contracts, incident-response procedures and laws applicable to the relevant party.
7. Cross-border processing
Some technology providers may process information outside the user’s country. The operator and subscribing clients should ensure that their contractual arrangements and transfer mechanisms satisfy applicable law.
